JAMMU POLICE CONDUCTS AWARENESS PROGRAM ABOUT NEW CRIMINAL LAWS IN CHOPAL STYLE at transport Nagar Narwal Jammu.

n a move to enhance legal awareness and compliance, Jammu police took initiative to educate transport workers about newly enacted criminal laws affecting the transport industry and their workers. This campaign aims to ensure that drivers, conductors, logistics personnel, mechanics and other transport workers are well-informed about their rights, responsibilities, and the legal consequences of violations.
The awareness program included highlighting new provisions and stricter penalties covering key aspects of the new laws, such as:
• Stricter penalties for reckless driving and road safety violations
• Legal consequences of harassment and misconduct in public transport
• Regulations on transporting goods and hazardous materials
• Measures against fraudulent activities and illegal transport operations. Briefed about Esakshya , e-FIR and Zero FIR.
Speaking about the initiative, SP south Ajay Sharma, Nadiya farooq DYSP(p), SHO PS Bahufort Insp Rajesh Jasrotia , ICPP Narwal PSI Purshotam kotwal heard their grievances and provided solutions and suggestions as per the legal provisions available for them under new laws . The police officer’s team checked the entire area, talked to the transport workers, Shop keepers and reassured them that the police are with them in every difficulty. They also gave them instructions to install CCTV cameras on their Shops/ workshops. SP South emphasised that transport workers play a very crucial role in our economy and daily lives. It is essential that they understand these legal changes to protect themselves and the public. He further said, Our campaign will equip them with the right knowledge they need to operate within the law and avoid serious penalties.
The locals of transport nagar area, netizens, shopkeepers and mechanics widely appreciated the efforts of jammu police for such an initiative to reach out to transport yard workforce and share about the New Criminal Laws in force.
